His conversations were always a highlight of a grocery store trip and it sure won’t be the same. I will cherish our laughter we shared together last week. Rest in paradise John, your fellowship won’t be forgotten.”
Another wrote, “I am so saddened to hear of John passing. The whole community will feel this loss. He always welcomed you with a smile and kind words. He was genuinely interested in how your family was and how he remembered everyones birthday I will never know! It was his way of making everyone feel special and that is what made HIM special. A kind and happy soul…we need more John’s in this world. My condolences to loved ones.”
Gregg Davidson, Mayor of Mapleton Township also took to social media saying “John always had a moment to chat. He had an uncanny way of remembering your name, even if he met you only once. He will be missed. On behalf of all residents and visitors that have come to know John over the years, condolences to his family and his closest friends.”
