WELLINGTON NORTH – A major project in Arthur is continuing to make progress.
Wellington County staff are set to provide its fifth report on the Arthur garage project to the county’s roads committee Tuesday morning.
The new garage is being built on Wellington Road 12 near Arthur and will serve as a new public works building on nine acres of land for the County.
According to the report, work completed so far includes:
- Installation of the underground services has continued (storm sewers complete, sanitary ongoing)
- Framing of equipment shed has continued
- Installation of mass timber structure has continued
Staff say work to be completed in the next month includes:
- Framing of equipment shed slated for completion (weather dependent)
- Installation of Mass Timber structure will continue
- Installation of the underground sanitary services scheduled for completion (weather dependent)
- Installation of concrete block will begin
- Mech. & elec. interior underground rough ins to begin
Completion of the $16.8 million project is scheduled for October of 2024.
