ONTARIO – A national test of Canada’s emergency ‘Alert Ready’ system will take place next Wednesday in Wellington County and Ontario.
Alert Ready is designed to deliver critical and potentially life-saving alerts to Canadians, including but not limited to tornadoes, flooding, fires, and AMBER alerts.
A press release states, that in 2023, the Alert Ready system distributed 1,086 emergency alerts across Canada.
Alert Ready says it will be distributing a test alert to Canadians in participating provinces and territories on their television, radio and compatible wireless devices.
In Ontario, this will happen on Wednesday, May 15th at 12:55pm.
