FERGUS – The Township of Centre Wellington says during the reconstruction on St. David Street North, a watermain was hit, which resulted in a watermain break.
“The watermain break is likely to cause discoloured water through the north end of Fergus,” the Township said in a post to social media.
Residents who experience discoloured water are urged to turn on a cold water tap nearest to the water meter and allow the water to flush slowly for several minutes until it runs clear.
The township says if after 24 hours, the water still appears discoloured, contact 519-846-9691 Option #2.
