ELORA – The rainy weather did not stop over 200 people from attending a fundraising event in Elora on Thursday night.
Garagmahal in its 7th year brought the community together to raise funds and help recruit male mentors to be ‘Big Brothers’ with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Centre Wellington.
Pamela Stumpf, one of the event’s organizers, explained that she and her husband John started the event in 2017 with a clear goal in mind.
Stumpf says it has been inspiring to see how the event has grown over the years.
Every year Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Centre Wellington (BBBSCW) aims to support over 250 youth.
The funds raised from the event will go towards the BBBSCW organization’s programs.
