GUELPH – A Guelph senior is in hospital with serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle Thursday afternoon.
At around 1:25 p.m. emergency services were called to the area of Bowen Drive and Norma Crescent.
Police say investigation revealed a Guelph woman in her 70s was crossing the street when she was struck by a vehicle driven by another Guelph female in her 70s. The victim was transported to a Hamilton trauma centre with significant injuries and remains in critical condition.
The intersection was closed for several hours and the involved vehicle has been seized for further examination.
The investigation is ongoing.
