NEWS RELEASE TOWN OF ERIN
Due to a stretch of hot weather and scheduled routine maintenance work being conducted on the municipal water supply system, The Town of Erin is enacting water restriction By-law #98-14 that restricts the watering of lawns and gardens.
By-law #98-14 restricts the use of municipal water for lawn and garden watering in the Town of Erin to:
- Even-numbered households on even numbered calendar days between the hours of 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. and between the hours of 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
- Odd-numbered households are restricted to watering on odd numbered calendar days between the hours of 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. and between the hours of 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Under the By-law, The Town of Erin may ban outside water usage other than for emergencies to ensure an uninterrupted supply of water from the municipal water system.
Residents will be notified when the restrictions are lifted.
