FERGUS – Centre Wellington Fire Rescue held a special ceremony at the Fergus Fire Station Tuesday evening, marking significant milestones and expansions to their team.
Centre Wellington Fire Chief Tom Mulvey says the ceremony, included the official ribbon-cutting for Fergus’s new Pumper 41, introducing the newest addition to their fleet.
Mulvey says the old Pumper 41 will be refurbished and used as a reserve.

The evening also saw four new recruits presented with their badge numbers including Tracey Fleming (Elora Station), Cody Jones, Tom Bentley, and Dane Pallett (Fergus Station), following their successful completion of the recruit program.

The evening also saw Deputy Fire Chief Jason Benn presented with his 20 Years of Exemplary Service Medal, presented by the Federal Government.
