ELORA – The Elora Centre for the Arts’ will be receiving a grant from Farm Credit Canada (FCC) to assist with its expansion.
Through its FCC AgriSpirit Fund, Farm Credit Canada is giving the centre for the arts $20,000 towards its 3,500-square-foot, $4.5 million expansion project, including a multi-use atrium, an expanded kitchen, and fully accessible washrooms.
In a news release, the FCC says the funding will go to create a kitchen to support better nutrition, facilitate culinary arts education, and foster community connections through food for the community.
This year, the FCC AgriSpirit Fund awarded between $10,000 and $25,000 to various community improvement initiatives.
Over the past 21 years, the fund has supported 1,697 projects, an investment of $22.5 million.
