CENTRE WELLINGTON – Three local manufacturing companies will be receiving $1.2 million in provincial funding.
In a news release, Matthew Rae, MPP for Perth-Wellington says this investment is being made through the province’s Southwestern Ontario Development Fund to boost local manufacturing and create 42 new jobs in Wellington County.
Cooke & Denison Limited will receive $500,000 from the Government of Ontario to support an upgrade to their Fergus-based manufacturing facility.
Also in Fergus, Newdon Industries will receive $262,500 to support their expansion into new foreign markets and create more jobs.
And in Elora, Xanadu Homes Ltd., a cabinet manufacturer and home renovator, is set to receive $500,000 to support the construction of an 18,000-square-foot facility.
The funding is part of a cumulative investment of over $10.5 million for the area.
