NEWS RELEASE WELLINGTON COUNTY OPP
(CENTRE WELLINGTON, ON) – Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charges Elora resident with numerous Highway Traffic Act offences.
On November 26, 2024, at approximately 11:30 a.m., members of the Wellington County OPP Traffic Unit were performing a traffic enforcement initiative when they detected a suspicious motor vehicle and initiated a traffic stop on Scotland Street within the Town of Fergus.
As a result of the investigation, a 31-year-old from Elora was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:
- Driving while under suspension
- Drive motor vehicle, no currently validated permit
- Colour coating obscuring interior
- Obstruct plate
- Improper tires
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Provincial Offences Court – Guelph at a later date.
