GUELPH – A Palmerston man and a Guelph woman both face drug-related charges.
Yesterday afternoon, Guelph Police observed a male and female sitting in a vehicle that was parked in a commercial parking lot located near the intersection of Silvercreek Parkway North and Speedvale Avenue West in Guelph.
Police say they were observed to be smoking illicit substances from a clear pipe.
Upon approaching the vehicle, police observed the female in the backseat with two dogs, and the male in the driver’s seat with the keys in the ignition.
They were both subsequently arrested.
Further investigation revealed that the male was impaired by drugs and was on conditions not to communicate with the female.
A 41-year-old Palmerston male has been charged with possession of a schedule I substance, operation of a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs and fail to comply with a judicial release order.
A 29-year-old Guelph female has been charged with possession of a schedule I substance.
