Environment Canada Warning
- Mount Forest – Arthur – Northern Wellington County
Snow squalls expected beginning tonight.
Hazards: Locally heavy snowfall with accumulations of near 15 cm tonight. Locally heavy snowfall with accumulations of near 15 cm Thursday. Peak snowfall rates of 3 to 6 cm per hour. Very poor to nil visibility at times in heavy snow and blowing snow.
Timing: Tonight through Thursday night.
Discussion: A snow squall will move across the region tonight as a cold front moves through. In the wake of the cold front several bands of snow squalls from Lake Huron will affect the region overnight through Thursday night. Visibility will be suddenly reduced to near zero at times in heavy snow and blowing snow. Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations.
Road closures are possible. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.
