NEWS RELEASE WELLINGTON COUNTY OPP
(TOWN OF MINTO, ON) – The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a stolen vehicle and shortly locate the suspect, placing them into custody and recovering the stolen vehicle.
On December 18, 2024, at approximately 7:30 a.m., members of the Wellington County OPP were on patrol when a report came in of a recent stolen vehicle within Harriston.
Police attended the scene and as a result of the investigation, and swift actions by uniform members of the OPP, a 36-year-old of Harriston, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:
- Theft of Motor Vehicle
The accused was arrested on scene and has since been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph on January 24, 2025.
