WELLINGTON-HALTON HILLS – A Halton Hills Councillor has been nominated as the Ontario Liberal candidate for Wellington-Halton Hills.
In a press release, the Liberal Party of Ontario says Alex Hilson a lifelong resident of Halton Hills has been named the Liberal candidate for Wellington-Halton Hills in the next provincial election.
“Alex Hilson’s dedication to serving his community as a local councillor and his commitment to delivering real results make him the leader Wellington—Halton Hills needs,” said Bonnie Crombie, Leader of Ontario’s Liberals in the press release.
Hilson is a graduate of the University of London, England, with a BA in Philosophy and Religious Studies and is currently the Ward 1 Councillor for Halton Hills.
In October, longtime MPP Ted Arnott, who also serves as Speaker of the Legislature, announced in October that he won’t be seeking re-election, which now leaves the seat open.
A provincial election has now yet been called.
