CENTRE WELLINGTON – Playoff hockey got underway over the weekend in Centre Wellington.
On Friday the Elora Rocks opened the Quarterfinals with a loss to the Strathroy Jets at the Jefferson Elora Community Centre. Strathroy got a 3-2 win.
The Jets now lead the series by 1, game two will go this Friday in Strathroy.
Meanwhile, the Fergus Whalers also begin their playoff run on the weekend.
The Whalers were in Mitchell Saturday for game 1, losing 4-2, but got a win yesterday afternoon in Fergus with a 5-3 win over Mitchell.
That series is now tied at one apiece.
