CENTRE WELLINGTON – It was a busy weekend of playoff hockey for both the Elora Rocks and Fergus Whalers.
On Friday, the Elora Rocks were in Strathroy to play Game 3 in the quarterfinal round, losing to the Jets 7-4.
However, on Saturday, in Game 4, the Rocks got a big win to stay in the playoffs, securing a 9-3 win over the Jets at the Jefferson Elora Community Centre.
Strathroy leads the series 3-1, Game 5 goes this Friday at the Jefferson Elora Community Centre.
Meanwhile, the Fergus Whalers Junior Hockey Club is moving on in the PJHL Playoffs.
Game 5 against the Mitchell Hawks was Friday night at the Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex.
Fergus got a 6-1 win, taking the series 4-1 and securing them a spot in the second round of the playoffs.
