FERGUS- Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health is advising the public of a measles exposure at FreshCo in Fergus (875 St David St N) on April 4, 2025, from 7:30-10:15pm. If you were at this location, you may have been exposed to measles.
Anyone who is not fully vaccinated against measles, and visited the location during the timeframe above, should monitor for symptoms of measles until the end of day on April 25, 2025. Early symptoms include:
• Fever
• Runny nose and cough
• Red, watery eyes
• Small white spots inside the mouth
Notify your doctor or healthcare provider if symptoms appear. If you think you may have measles stay home – do not go to work, school or other places where people congregate. Call your healthcare provider’s office to make an appointment and let them know you think you have measles so that they can make sure they take appropriate precautions to limit the spread.
