GUELPH- The Guelph Police Service is investigating after a man caused nearly $30,000 in damage to an apartment building.
During the early morning hours of Tuesday, a man entered the building on Raymond Street which houses mainly seniors. He removed four cameras by ripping them out of the ceiling and cutting the wires. He then flooded five of the building’s eight laundry rooms by turning on the hot water and leaving it running, causing extensive damage.
The total damage is estimated at $29,000. The suspect was caught on camera and has been identified. The investigation is ongoing.
