During the COVID-19 pandemic The Grand at 101.1FM reduced access to the radio station. However, since radio was deemed an essential service… as they say, the show must go on!
So, because of the generous support from the Community Radio Fund of Canada, we were able to continue programming and set up 4 announcers to work from home to cover extended shifts! From Studio 430 in Waterloo, to Dave’s living room in Kitchener, to Barb and Larry’s homes here in Fergus, our announcers were able to continue being a voice of comfort and a constant in a time of uncertainty.
We want to thank our announcers for all of their work from home!
While the radio station remains closed, as of tomorrow all of our announcers will have the option of returning to the radio centre.
