CENTRE WELLINGTON – The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charge an Arthur resident in relation to an impaired driving arrest.
On April 23, 2025, at approximately 10:00 p.m., Wellington County OPP received a report of a possible impaired driver on St. David Street North in Fergus. A short time later, police located the vehicle and driver at an address in Fergus.
Police spoke with the driver and as a result of the investigation, a 56-year-old of Arthur is charged under the Criminal Code with:
Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration over 80
A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph on May 6, 2025.
