GUELPH – A Guelph man faces two counts of attempted murder after two men were stabbed Wednesday night at a downtown home.
Approximately 9:20 p.m. police were called to Guelph General Hospital after two men arrived with stab wounds. Investigation revealed the two had been injured during an altercation at a residence near Yarmouth Street and Woolwich Street. Both were admitted in stable condition.
Several people were visiting the home at the time. The assailant was not personally known to either victim.
A 29-year-old Guelph man was located downtown Thursday morning. He is charged with two counts of attempted murder, two counts of aggravated assault, possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose and four counts of breaching court orders. He was held for a bail hearing Thursday.
