GUELPH – A Guelph man is charged with assault after another parent was headbutted Thursday during a dispute about parking at their childÈs school.
Just before 9 a.m. emergency services were called to a school in the south end. Investigation revealed there have been ongoing issues between two dads related to driving complaints and parking while dropping off and picking up their children.
On Thursday the two got into a verbal argument over how one of them was parked. As one of the men turned to walk away he was headbutted, causing his nose to start bleeding. He was assessed at the scene by paramedics and had no serious injuries.
A 39-year-old Guelph man was arrested for assault. He will appear in court July 15.
