WELLINGTON COUNTY – Established in May 2024 following a series of ‘Health and Housing Symposiums’, hosted by the County of Wellington’s Social Services Department, the Wellington-Guelph Health and Housing Planning Table has released a one-year update describing its work.
A media release says the Planning Table is co-chaired by the Social Services Department and the Guelph Wellington Ontario Health Team (OHT), reinforcing the need for a shared approach to social, housing, and health supports in urban and rural areas.
Among highlights are $450,000 in funding from the City of Guelph to support daytime services for individuals experiencing homelessness in Guelph for 2025, the release went on to explain.
As well, a work plan for the development of Wellington-Guelph Health and Housing Community Plan has been created.
