MAPLETON TWP, ON – Wellington County OPP have charged a Mapleton resident with impaired operation.
On Sunday, at around 3pm, Wellington County OPP were conducting a marine patrol on Conestogo Lake in the Township of Mapleton.
At this time, police say they spoke with the operator of a personal watercraft who appeared to need assistance.
As a result of the investigation, a 23-year-old of Mapleton Township was charged with Operation While Impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80 plus.
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario court of justice – Guelph, on July 4, 2025.
