CENTRE WELLINGTON – There’s still an administrative step remaining to permit the pending Battery Energy Storage System in the former township of Nichol.
The township of Centre Wellington will have a zoning amendment before them to permit the construction of the facility.
A portion of land off of Highway 6 will be re-zoned to category A 19.6, while the rest of the land will remain unchanged.
A report notes the Township may now pass the amending bylaw, but it will not come into effect until after OPA 130 is in full effect.
