GUELPH – A Guelph woman faces a drug charge after trying to bring crystal methamphetamine into a courthouse.
On Friday morning, Guelph Police say the woman was going through security screening at the Provincial Court on Wyndham Street South. Officers noted a bulge in her sweater and asked her about it.
Police say the woman removed an unlabeled pill bottle and placed it in the bin with the rest of her items.
Officers inspected the bottle and found it contained a small amount of crystal methamphetamine.
A 42-year-old Guelph woman is charged with possessing a controlled substance. The woman will return to court in August.
