GUELPH – A Guelph man was arrested Monday and will need to find another way to get around after two Guelph Transit employees were assaulted.
Shortly after noon, police were called to the transit hub on Carden Street.
Police say a man became verbally aggressive when he was asked to leave a bus. During the altercation, police say the male spat in the driver’s face and pulled a supervisor by the lanyard around her neck. Neither were physically injured.
A 31-year-old Guelph man was located in the area and arrested for two counts of assault.
The male was released on conditions including a ban on using Guelph Transit.
