ELORA – Starting today (Saturday), the Bridge Street Water Tower in Elora will be undergoing routine maintenance.
In a post to social media, the Township of Centre Wellington says the maintenance work will require the water tower to be drained.
“Draining of the Bridge St Water Tower begins today (Saturday, July 12), and the tower will remain empty for the duration of the work,” the township said in the post.
The tower is scheduled to return to service on August 29, 2025.
During this time, the township says maintenance work is not expected to cause any changes to the drinking water quality supplied to Elora.
“The community should continue to conserve our water and follow the Township’s Outdoor Water Use By-law. We are currently in Level 0 water use restrictions, ” the township said.
