UPDATED:
GUELPH – The Guelph Police Service is providing an update regarding Medhani Yohans, 36, a high-risk offender previously reported as having been released from custody on July 24, 2025.
Following a police investigation, Mr. Yohans was located and arrested by officers with the Guelph Police Service on July 25, 2025 and charged with the following offences:
- Breach of Probation ×4
- Disobey Court Order ×1
- Criminal Harassment
Mr.Yohans is currently in custody and is scheduled to appear on July 28th, 2025.
GUELPH – The Guelph Police Service would like to inform the community that Medhani Yohans, 36 years old, who is deemed a high-risk offender, was released from custody in Guelph on July 24th 2025. His whereabouts is presently unknown.
He has a history of violence, that includes two stranger sexual assaults. The Guelph Police Service believes that Yohans poses a risk to the community, particularly to women and is concerned that he may commit similar offences in the future.
Yohans is described as a black male, 5’9”, thin build, black hair and brown eyes.

Guelph Police ask that anyone who sees him, do not approach him, but rather, notify police at 519-824-1212, in order to ensure he is abiding by his conditions.
