GUELPH – On Thursday, July 24, 2025, members of the Guelph Police Service Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit, in collaboration with the Technological Crimes Unit and Uniform Patrol Officers, executed a search warrant at a residence in the west end of Guelph.
During the execution of the warrant, investigators located evidence consistent with offences related to child pornography. As a result, an 80-year-old Guelph male was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
- Possession of Child Pornography
- Accessing Child Pornography
The accused was subsequently released on conditions by the Officer in Charge of the Guelph Police Service. He is scheduled to appear in court on September 2, 2025.
