PUSLINCH TOWNSHIPÂ – The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charges Morriston resident with stunt driving after being observed travelling 60+ over the posted speed limit in a community safety zone.
On August 6, 2025, at approximately 11:00 p.m., members of the Wellington County OPP were performing a traffic enforcement initiative and observed a motor vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed, which lead to a traffic stop being initiated on Brock Road South in Puslinch.
As a result of the investigation, a 33-year-old from Morriston is charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:
- Drive motor vehicle – Perform stunt – Excessive speed – Community Zone
- Speeding – Community Safety Zone
The vehicle was impounded for 14 days, driver’s licence was suspended for 30 days and could exceed $1,000 in fines.
Drivers should be aware that fines can be doubled in designated Community Safety Zones.
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Provincial Offences Court – Guelph, at a later date.
