WELLINTON COUNTY – An investigation conducted by the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), leads to two individuals being arrested stemming from a local drug trafficking investigation.
On August 7, 2025, members of the Wellington County OPP CSCU, along with Grey Bruce, Huron and Perth CSCU, arrest two individuals on 2 Line East, as a part of an ongoing drug investigation.
A subsequent search resulted in the seizure of suspected cocaine, Canadian currency, cellular telephones, and various drug-related paraphernalia.
Total value of items and cash seized is estimated to be over $7,000.
As a result of the investigation, a 34-year-old man of Guelph has been charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
The accused was held in custody, pending a bail hearing.
Additionally, a 30-year-old woman of Guelph has been charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph on September 9, 2025.
