GUELPH-ERAMOSA – The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charges Elora resident with several provincial offences.
On August 12, 2025, at approximately 9:00 a.m., members of the Wellington County OPP Traffic Management Unit were performing a proactive traffic enforcement initiative, which resulted in a traffic stop being conducted on Wellington Road 29 within Guelph-Eramosa Township.
As a result of the investigation, a 31-year-old from Elora is charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:
- Speeding 1-49 Km/h over posted limit
- Drive motor vehicle, no currently validated permit
- Drive with window coated – view obstruction
The accused was also given warnings under the Highway Traffic Act for:
- Colour coating obscuring interior
- Obstruct plate
