GUELPH – Four people have been arrested after a Guelph man was lured to a park and attacked Friday night.
Just after 11 pm, Guelph Police received reports of an injured man in the downtown area. A short time later police located the 18-year-old at Guelph General Hospital and observed several injuries, including a large laceration on his head.
Police say the male explained he was lured to Exhibition Park to meet with a female, but when he arrived he was beaten up by three other people and had his watch stolen. The parties are all known to each other.
An 18-year-old Guelph man, a 17-year-old Guelph girl, and a 16-year-old Guelph boy are all charged with assault causing bodily harm.
The 16-year-old is also charged with theft under $5,000.
The 15-year-old girl who arranged the meet-up is charged with being a party to assault causing bodily harm.
All were released with upcoming court dates.
