The organizers of Sensational Elora’s Monster Month are clearing the cobwebs and say the monsters are stirring to make their October appearance, and this year’s event, as in the past, will be powered by community Spirit.
In keeping with the vision of Elora artist Tim Murton, creator of the Twilight Zoo, the goal is to make scary things fun.

As a not-for-profit group, Sensational Elora is inviting the community to invest in this authentic, grassroots Halloween magic.
In a press release, referencing a recent offer from Kat Florence Canada to promote Monster Month activities, the organization states:
“Recent events have reminded us of what matters most: staying true to our mission and the community that supports it. To be clear, there was no offer of monetary contribution for Sensational Elora or Monster Month in the recent cancelled promotion. We are powered by local spirit and welcome everyone who loves Monster Month.”
Sensational Elora is a not-for-profit organization that host’s several events throughout the year, including Monster Month, as a way to raise funds for the Centre Wellington Food Bank and awareness to help combat food insecurity.
The group is asking for the public’s financial support with their big October event, including monster sponsorships from local businesses.
The press release states: “The costs of insurance, care, feeding and medical attention for the monsters can be horrific! Every dollar you contribute stays right here working for our neighbours facing food insecurity.”
