MEDIA RELEASE CRIME STOPPERS GUELPH WELLINGTON
Since May 2025 there have been several thefts of historical and bridge dedication plaques in the County of Wellington.
On Tuesday July 29th the historical plaque titled “The Queen’s Bush Settlement 1820-1867” was stolen from the post within Glen Allan Park located on Side Road 17 in Mapleton Township.
On August 15th two historical plaques belonging to the Arthur Agricultural Society were stolen from the entrance to the Arthur Community Centre located on Domville Street in Arthur.
Another sixteen thefts are attributed to “bridge dedication” plaques stolen from bridges throughout the County of Wellington.
