Elora stepped into the national spotlight this week as The Weather Network chose the scenic village as the broadcast location for its annual Fall Forecast special.
The broadcast included panoramic views of the Elora Gorge, the Grand River, and various local landmarks — giving viewers across the country a look at the charm and character of Elora.
For Southern Ontario, it’s a tale of two seasons.
From mid-September through October, the region is expected to enjoy warmer-than-normal temperatures, fewer storms, and plenty of sunshine. That’s welcome news for anyone planning to spend time outdoors this fall — from hiking and leaf-peeping to fall fairs and harvest festivals.
But don’t expect it to last.
By November, The Weather Network is predicting a sharp shift to colder and more unsettled conditions, with a more active storm pattern and the potential for an early taste of winter.
