FERGUS – The second annual 24-hour shooting marathon is set to take place this weekend, which will see a local basketball team honour one of their own.
The CW Celtics will be hosting the 24-Hour Shooting Marathon to honour former Celtics player, Addison (Addy) Hill, who in 2021 was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called angiosarcoma, at just 13 years old. The Elora teen sadly passed away in July 2022.
Andy Abra, who coached Addy, shares how it all started.
Macey, one of Addy’s former teammates and one of the 13 participants in the shooting marathon, shares a heartfelt memory.

Last year’s marathon saw 21,212 shot attempts, with 9,000 made. Andy Abra, who coached Addy, says the total number of shots had a special meaning.
Last year, they raised $12,000, and funds raised this year will go towards supporting their players’ costs and Team Addy.
