FERGUS – In local PJHL action, the Fergus Whalers travelled to Mitchell on Saturday evening to take on the Hawks.
Mitchell goalie Tyler Teves was perfect in the goal as the Hawks prevailed by a score of 4 to 0, handing the Whalers their first loss of the season.
In yesterday’s game back home in Fergus, the Whalers rebounded with a resounding win over the Kincardine Bulldogs by a score of 14 to 2.
The Whalers saw big offensive performances from Joey Martin, Andrew McClure, along brothers Justin and Tyler Ewald, who led the Whalers’ attack.
Local rookie Ethan Henderson, with his first PJHL goal, also highlighted the afternoon affair.
The Whalers hit the road next weekend for games on Friday in Hanover and Saturday in Mount Forest.
Next home game for the Whalers is Friday, October 17th, versus Mitchell at the Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex.
