ELORA — Mark your calendars! Sensational Elora’s beloved Soup Off & Empty Bowls event, our most significant annual fundraiser for the Centre Wellington Food Bank, will take place on Sunday, November 2, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Wellington County Museum and Archives.
Since 2008, this cherished community gathering has celebrated the autumn harvest, local creativity, and the warmth of shared soup — all while helping fight food insecurity right here in Centre Wellington.
This year marks a new tradition: after many successful years on Thanksgiving Monday, the Soup Off moves to a cozy Sunday afternoon in November. It’s the perfect time to come together for comfort food, friendship, and good causes.
A Celebration of Community and Culinary Talent
Enjoy a variety of soups lovingly crafted by local chefs, home cooks, and youth — all competing for your vote! Sample them all, cast your ballot, and help crown the 2025 Soup Off Champions. Live music, good company, and the spirit of giving make this a must-attend event for food lovers and community supporters alike.
Empty Bowls: Art with Heart
Don’t miss the chance to take home a beautiful, handcrafted bowl from the Empty Bowls Project. Local potters donate their artistry to create one-of-a-kind soup bowls, with every purchase supporting programs that tackle food insecurity in our township.
