CENTRE WELLINGTON- A local teen is facing robbery charges following an incident in Fergus.
On October 15, 2025, at approximately 11:30 a.m., the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), responded to a report of a robbery at knifepoint in a parking lot on Tower Street in Fergus.
Three youth victims did not sustain any reported injuries.
As a result of the investigation, a 14-year-old from Alma, was charged under the Criminal Code with:
Armed Robbery
Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
Uttering Threats – cause death or bodily harm
The accused, whose identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph at a later date.
