GUELPH – A Guelph man faces attempted murder and other charges following a family dispute last week.
On December 21, Guelph Police Service officers were called to an address near Edinburgh Road North and London Road West.
Police say a woman in her 60s reported being assaulted and strangled. She was transported to the hospital for medical treatment.
Following the investigation, her 39-year-old son was arrested for attempted murder, assault with a weapon, two counts of assault causing bodily harm, assault, and breaching a probation order.
The male was held in custody and will appear in court December 30.
