What: Wind chill values near minus 30 to minus 33. Brisk winds gusting up to 50 km/h.
When: Today into Saturday morning.
Additional information: Bitterly cold conditions will persist through the day and into tonight, with wind chills near minus 30 to minus 33. Daytime temperatures will remain cold with the brisk winds, followed by falling temperatures this evening.
Extreme cold puts everyone at risk.
Watch for cold related symptoms: shortness of breath, chest pain, muscle pain and weakness, numbness and colour change in fingers and toes.
Cover up. Frostbite can develop within minutes on exposed skin, especially with wind chill.
Check on older family, friends and neighbours.
