ELORA – Paid parking is now expected to roll out in downtown Elora later this spring.
In an update to Centre Wellington council Monday night, Adam McNabb, Township Treasurer and Managing Director of Corporate Services, said staff have installed paid parking kiosks throughout the downtown, but technical issues have delayed the commissioning process.
The program was originally scheduled to launch on January 5th; however was also delayed in late December to allow more time for signage installation and kiosk commissioning.
McNabb says staff are now waiting for more favourable weather to complete the rollout and avoid a false start.
Under the new paid parking plan, fees would apply seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., with non-residents charged $3 per hour in Zone 1 and a daily cap of $15 in Zone 2.
