WELLINGTON NORTH – An individual has been charged following an incident in Mount Forest.
On January 31, 2026, at approximately 3:00 p.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the report of an altercation at an address in Mount Forest.
As a result of the investigation, a 34-year-old woman from Mount Forest, is charged under the Criminal Code with:
- Uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm
- Failure to comply with Undertaking
While in police custody, the accused acquired further Criminal Code charges:
- Attempt obstruct justice
- Mischief – destroys or damages property
The accused was held in police custody for a bail hearing and later released to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph on a later date.
