CENTRE WELLINGTON – Centre Wellington Council has approved appointing an Acting Fire Chief.
With the retirement of current Chief Tom Mulvey, staff recommended to council at Monday night’s meeting to appoint Jason Benn as Acting Fire Chief for the Township of Centre Wellington until a successor is selected following a recruitment process.
Staff said Benn has been a dedicated member of Centre Wellington Fire Rescue as a senior officer for over 4 years.
Council approved the recommendation.
Benn will begin the Acting Fire Chief role effective March 6th.
