NEWS RELEASE WELLINGTON COUNTY OPP
(PUSLINCH TOWNSHIP, ON) – One person is facing charges following an attempted robbery investigation in Puslinch.
On February 28, 2026, at approximately 8:00 p.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), alongside members of the OPP Highway Safety Division, responded to the report of an armed robbery at a business on Brock Road South in Puslinch Township.
Investigation determined that the suspect entered the business and demanded money from an employee while implying they were armed with a weapon. The attempt was unsuccessful, and the suspect fled prior to police arrival. The victim did not sustain any injuries.
Toronto Police Service Officers subsequently located the suspect at an address in Toronto and took the individual into custody without incident.
As a result of the investigation Ahmed NUR, a 29-year-old from Guelph, is charged under the Criminal Code with:
- Armed Robbery
- Uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm
The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph on March 2, 2026.
