NEWS RELEASE WELLINGTON COUNTY OPP
(WELLINGTON NORTH TOWNSHIP, ON) – One individual has been charged following an incident in Mount Forest.
On February 27, 2026, at approximately 9:30 p.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the report of an altercation at an address in Mount Forest.
As a result of the investigation, a 43-year-old from Mount Forest, is charged under the Criminal Code with:
- Trespassing at night
- Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm (three counts)
- Uttering threats to damage or injure animal
- Mischief – obstructs, interrupts or interferes with any person in the lawful use, enjoyment or operation of property
The accused was held in police custody pending a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in London.
