NEWS RELEASE WELLINGTON COUNTY OPP
(WELLINGTON COUNTY, ON) – Police are requesting the public’s assistance following a series of break and enters in Wellington County over the weekend.
On March 13, 2026, at approximately 11:30 p.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the report of a break and enter at a business on Highway 9 in Harriston, where two suspects gained entry by smashing a glass door. The suspects fled prior to police arrival. Nothing was reported stolen from the business.
On March 13, 2026, at approximately 11:45 p.m., members of the Wellington County OPP responded to an alarm at a business on Main Street West in Palmerston. The investigation determined that three suspects gained entry to the business by smashing a glass door and stole several cartons of cigarettes. The suspects fled prior to police arrival.
On March 14, 2026, at approximately 1:15 a.m., members of the Wellington County OPP responded to an alarm at a business on Highway 6 in Guelph-Eramosa Township. The investigation revealed that three suspects had gained entry by smashing and removing the glass doors of the business. The suspects subsequently stole approximately $30,000 worth of cigarettes, cash and other merchandise. The suspects fled prior to police arrival.
The Wellington County OPP is investigating these incidents, which are believed to be connected. Police are looking to identify any suspects or the vehicle involved.
Suspect 1 is described as: White male, wearing orange hood, black hoodie sweater with white writing on arm, dark/black pants, black footwear, black gloves, heavy build.
Suspect 2 is described as: White male, yellow gloves, black pants, medium build, black shoes, grey/light face mask, black hoodie with hood up, hole in left pant leg.
Suspect 3 is described as: White male, black pants, black hoodie with yellow decal on left chest, black hat, and black face mask possibly balaclava, white glove on left hand, black/yellow glove on right hand, black shoes possibly running shoes, black jacket.
Suspect vehicle is described as: Black Ford F150.
